DESCRIPTION
The AlumaLiteâ„¢ aluminum drop hitch with dual ball balances strength with weight savings to make towing and leveling a trailer easier than ever. The lightweight billet aluminum makes handling and installation of the shank straight forward and simple. The shank allows for 5-1/2 in of drop in precise, 1 in increments, making raising or lowering the 2 or 2-5/16 in ball convenient and easy. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch is also universally compatible with a 2 x 2 in hitch receiver with 5/8 in hitch pin holes. A drop hitch is essential for towing any trailer with a differing height than the tow vehicle. An imbalanced trailer can lead to improper weight distribution and cause the vehicle-trailer connection to sag or lift, which can lead to trailer sway and result in an accident. A drop hitch resolves this issue by compensating for differing vehicle-trailer heights and preventing the uneven distribution of weight across the vehicle-trailer connection, providing a safe and secure towing experience. All CURT products are designed for reliable, safe towing and are built to last. The AlumaLite aluminum drop hitch is made from billet aluminum and features a polished aluminum finish that is stylish and easy to handle. Stringently tested for safety and universally compatible with all 2 x 2 hitches, it's rated for towing up to 8000 lbs with its 2 in ball or up to 12,500 lb with its 2-5/16 in ball.
