About this Raised Panel Bit:
This raised panel bit from Freud is made to create raised panels from 3/4-inch stock. Their exclusive design produces panels that are flush with the door frame and have a full 1-1/2-inch reveal. The tongue thickness is adjustable from 7/32- to 1/4-inch for compatibility with most stile and rail cutters. The back cutter profile is square and can be changed to a radius using the optional 54-562 radius back cutter for a double-sided appearance -- or you can replace it with the optional 54-560 square backcutter for a more contemporary look. The 2+2 design virtually eliminates sanding.
