Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2X Primers provide a sound base for application of Painter’s Touch enamels on heavily rusted steel. Use of primers promotes topcoat adhesion and helps prevent chipping, cracking and peeling. Use of these primers eliminates the need for multiple coats of enamel finish. Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2X Primer Sprays feature an advanced spray system that allows you to spray at any angle, even upside down for those hard to reach areas. A comfort spray tip with a wider finger pad to reduce fatigue caused by continuous spraying. Aerosol primers should not be used on galvanized steel.

Painting Conditions:
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50ºF (10ºC) and 90ºF (32ºC) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces, when heated, exceed 200ºF (93ºC). Do not apply aerosol primers to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.
Painting Application:
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can upright 10-16” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. Do not use near open flame.
Dry & Recoat:
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF (21ºC) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Aerosols - Dries to the touch in 20 minutes and handle in 1 hour. May recoat within 1 hour or after 24 hours.
